The Dodds Legacy programme is continuing to grow, with plans now confirmed for its first event outside London.
Following two highly successful sessions at Ogilvy’s Sea Containers House earlier this year, the initiative will travel to Manchester on 13 May, bringing its unique blend of inspiration, mentoring and confidence-building to aspiring marketers in the North of England.
The event marks an important step in the programme’s ambition to support talent across the UK, ensuring the Legacy is not centred solely in London but reaches promising young professionals wherever they are based.
Hosted by ITV at the Coronation Street Studios
The Manchester event will be wonderfully supported by ITV, who have kindly offered to host the session at the Coronation Street Studios event space.
The venue, arranged through Jason Spencer, provides a fitting and inspiring setting for the next chapter of the Dodds Legacy – bringing together future marketing talent in one of the UK’s most iconic broadcasting environments.
Confidence Coaching with Composure Media
A central feature of the programme will once again be the highly acclaimed confidence and communication workshop delivered by Composure Media.
For the Manchester session, the training will be delivered by Louisa Preston, co-founder of Composure Media and a highly respected broadcast journalist and communications coach.
Drawing on decades of experience presenting major news programmes and covering major events for national television, Louisa brings a unique perspective to helping professionals communicate clearly, project confidence and present their ideas with authority.
The session will once again focus on helping attendees bring their best selves forward, equipping them with practical techniques to build confidence and communicate effectively in professional environments.
Ritchie Mehta Confirmed as Guest Speaker
Also confirmed for the Manchester event is Ritchie Mehta, founder of The School of Marketing and a highly respected voice in marketing education and mentorship.
Ritchie is also well known as co-host of The Places We’ll Go Marketing Show podcast alongside Mark Evans, and as a Fellow of The Marketing Society.
At the Manchester event, Ritchie will share insights from his recently released book Climb, offering practical advice and inspiration for aspiring marketers navigating the early stages of their careers.
More Speakers and Mentors to Follow
Additional speakers and industry mentors will be announced in the coming weeks, continuing the Dodds Legacy tradition of connecting attendees with experienced leaders from across the marketing and communications industry.
Details of how to apply to attend the Manchester event will also be released soon on https://thedoddslegacy.co.uk/.
Expanding the Legacy
The Dodds Legacy was created to honour the spirit of Mike and Clare Dodds, whose lives were defined by generosity, encouragement and a belief in helping others realise their potential.
By expanding beyond London and bringing the programme to Manchester, the Legacy continues to grow into a truly national initiative – opening doors, building confidence and creating opportunities for the next generation of marketing talent.
More details, including speaker announcements and application information, will be shared shortly.
